The case of Alexandr Nikitin, a former Soviet Navy captain, accused of high treason by the FSB, is the most widely known case of this type. The case and trial have been comperensively covered at the Bellona web site. Alexandr Nikitin was acquitted of all charges against him.
Another case, similar to that of Alexandr Nikitin, was the case of a military jornalist Grigory Pasko, who also was charged of high treason. This case was covered by the Russian Index/Dossier on Censorship magazine. Grigory Pasko was also acquitted of the high-treason charges against him.
